As we progress in life, we leave many things behind. We never go through any experience twice. No two experiences are precisely the same, no matter how similar they are. We only have one childhood, one adolescence, one adulthood and one old age. We are forever leaving things, places, conditions, and experiences behind us. But through all these, we have the same Jesus, unchanged and unchanging.
The Jesus of childhood is the same through all ages, times and seasons. Whatever changes the year ahead brings, we must always keep our eyes fixed on the living JESUS. He will always be everything we need. There will never be a path that He will not locate and show us. There will never be a dark valley He cannot illuminate for us. There will never be a battle which He cannot fight for us. There will never be an encounter that He cannot securely lead us through.
As we approach the end of the year, let us remember that Jesus remains with us. We need not be afraid to go forward, to walk with Jesus if we want to experience higher things in life.
Like clay in the hands of the Potter, He would make us into His desire. We can rest in His love, knowing that no purpose of His can ever be thwarted. We can be certain that His plans remain beautiful and glorious for us, and that whatsoever His hands have begun in us, He is able also to perfect or complete. We can be sure that like clay in the hands of the Potter, no destiny is too marred in the hands of God to be restored and then beautified.
We can be certain that irrespective of the processes we may have to go through, God would be mindful to ensure that He delivers us to our generation as a glorious finished product; perfect in every way. All we need is submission to His will and non-resistance to His purpose.
Pray always. Be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and you will receive directions of what God wants to do in your life. You will see His glory and power at work in you. He will supply all your needs and bring restoration to every area of brokenness in your life.
By His Grace, you will “walk circumspectly, not as fool but as wise, redeeming the time” (Eph. 5:15–16) especially in these dark days, and you will experience all of His blessings in every area of life!
May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you! May He perfect that which concerns you in Jesus’ name. Amen
