We can claim that we love, but love professed and not demonstrated is no love at all. We are enjoined to love, not just in words but in deed and in truth. Daily, we see the love of God in the things that He does. No less does He desire that we show that we love Him and one another by the things we do. Love is a giver, and one way that we show that we love is by how much of ourselves and our substance we truthfully give away. While it is true that we can give and not love, we can never love and not give.
