Two opposing forces competitively operate in man and whichever we yield to rules our lives. They are the forces of love producing forbearance and forgiveness and that of hate producing vengeance. Simple and foolish as it may sound, love never fails. Love is a conqueror. By it, we shut the mouth of our adversaries, have them completely disarmed, and maintain our godly testimony. Both Jesus and the early apostles knew the power of love, especially when it is undeserved, and asked us to arm ourselves permanently with it.
