The better persons we each become is far more important to God than whatever else we may seek to acquire in life. God delights in drawing our attention to and working, not on areas of our strength but on areas of our weaknesses. This is the means by which God guarantees our growth and makes us increasingly better people.
Becoming better is never cheap, and discipline is not sweet, yet discipline is the tool God uses to prune and shape us into vessels fit for His purpose.
