The world is facing numerous challenges and many people are struggling to find peace. However, there is hope for those who seek guidance from our compassionate creator.
The ability to remain steadfast in the midst of chaos is the essence of finding inner peace. While it is true that we cannot expect a world without challenges, Jesus has assured us that we can find peace in our lives.
Finding peace within ourselves is the key to overcoming the challenges and turmoil that surround us. When peace is disrupted, everything is lost. The troubles surrounding us serve one purpose: to disturb our peace. However, only when we wholeheartedly embrace the unwavering assurances that God instills within us through His Holy Spirit, can we truly discover the sufficient grace to navigate through life’s turbulent storms.
Jesus would not have been able to rebuke the wind if He had allowed Himself to be troubled like His disciples were. Maintaining and sustaining a calm internal environment in the face of conflicting circumstantial evidence is crucial for our spiritual warfare.
Peace is found in the knowledge of the unwavering promises found in the Word, which demonstrate God’s eternal faithfulness. You can develop a strong conviction that God will always guide you, regardless of the circumstances.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread? Psalm 27:1
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me. Psalm 139:7-10
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! . . .
The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7
We cannot even fathom how fantastically faithful God is. When you know someone is with you and has your back, fear has to leave. In its place you have faith: a peaceful confidence produced by the stabilizing promises of God.
Stay Blessed
