We often underestimate the power and speed at which God can lift a man. In an instant, He can do a quick flip, taking us from the depths of despair to the heights of glory. He does not care about the passage of time because he is capable of accomplishing in a single day what would take us a thousand years to do. Just as He created the entire earth and everything in it in just six days, there is nothing that God desires to do in us that would take Him more than a fraction of a second.
In Psalm 40:2, the Bible says that God can lift you out of the miry clay and set your feet upon a rock, making your footsteps firm. According to Samuel 2:8, it is declared that God lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the ash heap, giving them a seat of honor.
Wait a minute! How severe can it really get? If He raises the poor from the dust and the beggar from scavenging for food from the trash bin, you can rest assured that your case, no matter how exaggerated, is a minor issue with God. What’s amazing is not just that God raises people; it’s the drastic changes that such lifting creates. From the dustbin to the throne of glory! That is absolutely unthinkable, but when God is involved, the unimaginable becomes a daily reality.
The works of God are truly miraculous. They defy both time and space. With very little or even nothing, He can do the inconceivable in no time at all.
Look at Joseph’s story. One morning, he woke up in his prison cell, but went to bed in the evening of the same day on the Prime Minister’s bed. Or Saul, who went searching for missing donkeys and returned as king over Israel. God is full of wonders, and time is no factor when He is involved. Or what can I say of Mordecai, who yesterday was threatened with death hanging over his life only to wake up in the morning celebrated as a national hero by the same man who had orchestrated his intended execution? These men went from seemingly hopeless situations to positions of honor and influence in an astonishingly short period of time. God is full of wonders, and time is no factor when He is involved.
Beloved, don’t let your current circumstances discourage you. Your situation may seem impossible, but with God, the unimaginable becomes reality. Raise your faith level and open yourself up to the possibilities. Your ascension to the throne begins in your mind, so focus on where you want to be.
Believe that God can lift you up, and trust in His divine timing. He is the lifter of men, and He will raise you to new heights.
Prayer Point: Heavenly Father, I come before you today acknowledging that you are the lifter of men. I thank you for your power and ability to lift me out of any situation, no matter how impossible it may seem. I declare that I will not be discouraged by my current circumstances, but I will focus on where I want to be and believe in your divine timing. I trust that you can do the unimaginable in my life and raise me to new heights. I surrender my situation to you and ask for your intervention. Lift me out of any miry clay and set my feet upon a rock. Lift me from any place of lack or despair and place me in a position of honor and influence. I believe that you can do the impossible in no time at all. Thank you for being a God of wonders. In Jesus’ name, amen.
