Vessels unto honour

Whether they are made of gold, silver, clay or wood, vessels are naturally made to fulfill set purposes. Purpose must be the distinctive element marking out each vessel.
It is not enough for us to be vessels in a great house, the ultimate in God’s plan is that we each become vessels unto honour.
Our ‘composition’ is not as important as the purposes we serve, and how we begin has no bearing with what we can become. Joseph was sold into Egypt as a slave, but lived purposefully and became a prime minister of repute. Daniel entered into Babylon as a slave, but his small beginning did not stop him from exerting great influence in government spanning decades and the reign of several kings. We too can start to make simple commitments today that irrespective of our status in life, we would begin to make valuable contributions to our world.
