It is increasingly becoming easy for many to be overtaken by the constraints life presents on a daily basis. Nevertheless, it is God’s intention that we maintain a posture of unwavering confidence and rest in His abilities even in the face of the most daunting of challenges. Our confidence in God must outweigh and count ahead of our diverse experiences in life, no matter how dear we hold the latter. This confidence must rest firmly on the unshakable nature of the sovereignty, integrity, and compassion of God.
Abraham and Sarah, despite their age, considered God reliable, trustworthy and true to His word. They knew that the challenge at hand was nothing compared to the glory that shall be revealed. Our seemingly harsh realities are oftentimes distorted pictures of the glory in waiting. If only we would look closely, we would see that the gory picture was projected to scare us away from the glory. A little more patience and the glory concealed shall be revealed. May we find strength to wait on God until our strength is renewed.
